i found a decently cheap t56, but its from an s-10. i was wondering if there is a significant difference, if any, from a t56 from a 4th gen. If there is, is it close to the same difficulty as doing this swap with a 4th gen. t56?

s10 never had t56, its either NOT a t56 or the owner swapped a t56 into it.

I suspect the former (it's not actually a t56) unless it's one of those v8-swapped s10's then who knows.

 

i was thinking i had never heard of a t56 in an s10. the guy said that its from a wrecked s10 with a 383. not sure if this helps any.

 

if its bolted up to a SBC then its an F-bod tranny. i dont think any other GM car came with a 6sp and a V8. the corvette uses a different setup.

 

if you were really thinking obscurely, it could be a corvette ZF6.

 

was that a c-4?

 

if it is from a corvette, would it be about the same difficulty as using a t-56 from a camaro?
