Tailshaft bushing ?

I searched around but couldn't find an answer.
How much play should there be where the driveshaft goes into the tailshaft bushing? I've got about .030 movement on the dial at the yoke shaft which seems like a lot to me.

Re: Tailshaft bushing ?

some but not a ton

i dont know my measurement, but by feel you just know

if theres too much then the slip yoke can wallow out the output seal and it will always have fluid leak issues

ive seen some horribly sloppy ones in the past

it happens,

see what i mean

good luck
