ok i got my 3 carrier and my 3.27's i got my install kit and everything

now my old seires 2 was a none posi car , do i need to have a different axle to get the 3.27's posi ?

 

Not unless the axle spline counts are different between the old and new carrier. One additional note, that 3:27 gear ratio is from a 9-bolt rear, so I hope the one on the car is 9-bolt also. If is not you are in deep doo doo with incompatible parts.

 

don't think 9 bolt carriers had differant series. are you mixing 10 bolt and 9 bolt parts? also the 9 bolts never changed spline count on the axles.
