Transmission: T-56, T-5, C4
Axle/Gears: 3.42,3.08,3.73
speedo challenged
I put a new t5 in my car and it had a mech speedo putput, I pulled out the bullet and it had a purple driven gear (22 tooth), and a purple drive gear (7 tooth?). this trans is not original, I just was wondering if other size driven gears with work with my 7 tooth drive gear (what a search told me a purple drive gear is) what driven gear I need for the speedo to read correctly ( 3.08 rear with stock 245/50/16's )

yes, i have the same problem with my t-5...i have a purple output shaft gear ( is that the drive gear? ), but a red gear in the side housing with 3.73 rear...and it's reading too fast...reads 70 when it should be 60...about...any help?
