easy to do. Put a jack underneith the tailhousing, drop the x member, take out the 2 bolts holding it on to the tranny. They are 15MM. Should be a 15 minute job.

I will be doing this soon as well, looks fairly simple. Looks like you could change it without dropping the cross member. I found last week when working under it i was trying to get some leverage and put my knees against the tranny to push on and it raised up to the floorboard.....could you not slide it between the tranny and the cross member or is it not going to work that way if your trying to put in a new mount? I'm prob totally wrong about this....but thats the way it seems.

your knee exercise sounds scary... I think that is exactly what is happening to my tranny... there are scrap marks on the body pan, directly over the u joint. The only thing I can imagine is that the tranny mount is allowing the tranny to pull up that far. I hear and feel an unsettling thumping when I try to punch it from a stop...

I cant give mine more than 25% throttle from a stop or it makes a very loud WHAP under the car...kinda scary....so i just have to have a light foot when driving it until i get it replaced. Which isn't always easy!!

You can. Remove the bolt that holds the old mount to the cross member, then jack the tailshaft up slightly, unbolt the old mount at the tranny and remove, insert the new and bolt-up. Drop the tailshaft and reinsert the retaining bolt. Probably take you longer to jack the car up than to swap the mount.
