TCC manual lock up help

ok, got rid of the computer in my 87. now I have no lock up in my tranny. I knew this would happen, although I don't have the funds right now to buy a vaccum switch for the lock up. I've read all kinds of posts about locking it manually by jumping 2 of the wires on the 4 wire connector. but I can never find anything about how it's done. does anyone have a diagram or could help me with the steps in hooking up the connector to a switch. I drive to work on the highway everyday and I'm getting no MPG anymore. lol. I'm good with electrical work and not new to it. just not a trans guy. thanks

Re: TCC manual lock up help

Just read over everything...but I've got one question...is the ALDL still functional once the ECM has been removed from the vehicle? do the wires from the trans go directly to it?

More or less. As long as you've just unplugged the ECM and haven't indiscriminately hacked up the wiring of the car, then it will still work.

Re: TCC manual lock up help

well, I cut the bundle of wires by the blower motor that goes to the ECM. other than that the wiring is intact. I just unplugged everything else and wrapped it up out of the way.
