Just rebuilt a 700R4 for 91 Z28 and manual shifting is great it will stay in gear untill 6,000 and shift hard into every gear. With the car shifting in auto mode it shifts very quick and light 1-2 happens around 3 feet 2-3 is better but still early and not as hard. What happened?

 

Did you adjust the tv cable correctly?

 

Yes, it is adjusted correctly. This is my 78th 4l60 that I have rebuilt and I have never had this problem.
