B&M Transpak
i'm installing a B&M transpak in my car (bad idea? good idea? i already got it) and they're asking what year/generation of 700r4 i got.
the numbers say it's built in the first 1/3 of the 1987 year. so it shouldn't have the auxiliary valve body.. but i think i got one so i'm kinda confused.
here, i'll attach a pic of the trans.
also quick Q.. does the tpi tv cable work on a carb engine?

Re: B&M Transpak
yes that is an axilery valve body and bad idea cause i put one in and my car shifts like crap and no the tv cable is different for a carb
Re: B&M Transpak
B&M doesn't build all that good of product for OD trans. Their shift kits are a great way to kill a trans and their clutches aren't much(if any) better than stock clutches.
Yes, that is an auxilary vb and could have been installed factory in an 87 trans. The aux vb is an upgrade.
As for the parts themselves, you really should look into probuilt and/or patc(raptor) 's websites. Transgo and superior for vb parts, alto and/or raybestos for clutches. - I would ship the B&M crap back if possible so as to not be doing this again soon.
