Help with Transgo 7-cs Clutch Sping kit.

Just about to install a few good bits into the auto and was pre-reading all the instructions that came with the various parts.

On the Clutch spring kit there are only instructions talking about putting the springs together etc... and nothing on how to actually get to the retainer in the first place.

Where exactly do I find the original so I can pull it out and replace all the springs. So far all the the instructions (Valve body, boost valve, servo) have been very clear, but this 7-cs kits seem to assume I already know where to find everything.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Cheers.

The transmission has to come apart to get at the input drum, that is where they are found.

****. So much for "install while still in the car".

Thankyou very much for your help. I might just stick wit the valve body, boost valve and the servo.

The spring kit will be there when you tear it down in the future. TransGo offers the kit both ways, with or without the clutch spring kit. Most people are not tearing down the transmission to install the Shift kit (like I do).
