i have a 91 z and in december i had 3.73`s put in. I just got it out and i need to know what speedo gear in need. i had 2.73`s. So if anyone know the actual speedo gears i need please help.

 

I recently replaced the plastic speedo housing and speedo driven gear that had 45 teeth in my 84 z28 with a 3.73 ratio. Bowtieoverdrives.com has a calculator based on wheel/tire diameter, drive gear color, and drive ratio to estimate the best driven gear to use. Hope this helps

I used to have 3.73's in mine and the drive gear(smallest and on the output shaft), was the red one( cant remember the # of teeth) and the driven gear was green( dont remember the # of teeth on it either, sorry. But you can go to
this link and scroll down and it will tell you which ones to use and give you the part # as well. hth

You need the gray 15 tooth drive gear and the purple 43 tooth driven gear hope this helps.
