Although that would work, your spedometer would not be working either, and the ecm would be at a disadvantage for proper engine management. The poster of this thread also seems to think that the ecm controls shift points, thus he doesn't really know what he's talking about.

Running with the vss disabled in an auto car can cause some serious transmission problems. Without ecm signal the tc will not lock-up, thus causing extra heat in the trans. Most stock 700's will not go into OD @ WOT anyhow, but those that have the mods to be enable it too are putting a beating on a clutch and gearing combo that wasn't intended for performance.


With ANY modification, always remember one thing, " If you don't have the money to do it right the first time can you afford to do it again?"
