Re: DOES STOCK TORQUE ARE FIT THE T56 SWAP
I'm in a similar boat, not sure if the autos and manuals use the same torque arm, I'm assuming they don't, but I'm pretty sure I can reuse mine, but I'm prolly not going to. as for crossmembers I like the spohn one personally.

same torque arm from 82 till 02. minor variance inthe early years about which way the lip of the torque arm faced. easily corrected by making sure your mount is facing correctly . both mounts will fit the clamshell on the tranny.

It will. My T56 came from a 1996 TA and it fit my '87 that was previously a 700R4 like clockwork.
I'd take a look at Skulte's crossmember, to see if it's smaller than Spohns.. I went with Spohn and the damn thing hangs almost two inches lower than stock. I have enough clearance problems already with the Eibach's on there, so Spohn is going away when I find a better crossmember.

$150 for the OEM or retro, $200 for the LT version, so yeah they're pretty steep. Like I said, I haven't used them, but they look less over-engineered than the Spohn piece.
