Hi All,

I installed a 1990 TPI speed density set-up on my 82 Corvette. It has a 700r4 transmission w/3rd and 4th gear pressure switches and computer controlled lock-up.

I had some problems with it "jerking" at crusing speeds and was thinking maybe it was the tranny acting up......I never had this problem with a carb, I was using a TCC vacuum operated control for my lock-up and a single 4th gear pressure switch.

I reinstalled the original solenoid and two pressure switches when I added the TPI stuff.

I'm really not sure what pressure switches are in the transmission and if they are compatible with my TPI computer.....how can you tell if you have the right one's?

Or exactly what should be in there for a 1990 - 1992 Camaro TPI computer?

Thanks again!

Most F-body 700R4s used a N/C pressure switch that opened when the transmission was in 4th. Some of the L98s (I think) used a N/O switch.
