Hey all, I just finished up my th-400 swap in my 87 GTA. I ordered the Spohn crossmember (w/o torque arm provisions) and the Jegster torque arm setup.
When I got everything all swapped and pieced together, it looks great. All there was left was to wait for my new yoke to come in, and button up the exhaust. I finally got the yoke, slapped the drive shaft in, and started putting the exhaust back together. I'm running true dual, 3" exhaust, and the Spohn piece is so flippin huge, theres no WAY the exhaust will fit.
Has anyone used the hurst conversion kit for their crossmember? Does this remedy the size issue with the crossmember?
I did some looking around in the exhaust forum and found people using the Spohn piece, and they had to have new exhaust portions bent to keep their duals.
I'm just really frustrated. I should be driving the car right now, but instead, it's sitting in my garage, while I rack my brain for a way to make this work.
Has anyone else run into this? Has anyone used the Hurst piece?

Well, I answered my own question tonight. I found out a buddy of mine was using the Hurst crossmember for his th400 swapped camaro, so I pulled my Spohn piece, ran down by his place and compared them. The Hurst piece is SIGNIFICANTLY shorter. He agreed to trade me, and I brought the Hurst piece home and slapped it in. The Spohn piece is made with a little more quality, the bolt holes line up better, thats for sure, but the Hurst piece allowed me to use my existing exhaust, which means a bit more in the end. 
So if anyone was wondering, yeah, the hurst crossmember is quite a bit smaller than the Spohn.
