Best T-5 hydraulics - Search found nothing

Since I will be replacing everything else when I do my TKO swap...I searched to try and find what will be the best option for replacing my hydraulics. I have headers and would like to have a braided line to the slave.

1. Can I use T-56 hydraulics?

2. Is the factory GM T-5 replacement plastic?

3. Is there a better aftermarket alternative for braided lines and maybe metal slave?

Thanks!

I found an aluminum slave from Summit.

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I thought that I should be able to find a braided line to buy seperately...but I am not finding anything.

Does the T-56 have an aluminum master and slave too? Or are they just plastic with a braided line?

Thanks!

Dont hold me to it. But I think I remember hearing the S-10 had braided line on the clutch. There was a guy on montecarlossdot com that was selling a seperate braided line. Dont know if he still has it or what brand it was. I can look it up if you need and ask him.

make sure everything is in the right place and you shouldn't have a problem with a plastic system, even with headers.

you can use the T56 hydraulics with the T5 tranny I believe, because the T5 hydraulics work with the T56 tranny.

GM stock replacement is plastic. you can buy a sealed, full, bled, setup from hawks for around 200 bucks.

You can get the GM stock t-56 from gmpartdirect for 125 shipped. I just ordered mine.

I have a problem with the alignment though on a t-56 swap using 4th gen pedals. I think I need to add one washer to the master such that the clutch pedal pushes the master rod parallel to the master. It appears not to do so and flex the master a bit which I believe led to my master leaking inside the car. Anyone else have this problem?

if you used the 4th gen pedal tree, did it have the two brace bars that go from the pivot rod down to the master cylinder bolts?

when i first installed my T5 clutch assembly i forgot to put those on and the master flexed like crazy. put them on and its stiff now
