which atf do you use with your shift kit??
searched for a good hour and found so many conflicting answers im frankly a little confused.
i just purchased a b&m transpak for my 700r4. when using the firmest shifting version of the kit they recommend the b&m trickshift atf. ive heard quite a few people say to stay away from it.
so my question is, which atf would be best for me to use. ive heard dexron 2,3 as well as type f could all work. i plan on driving this car mostly as a daily driver with some weekend track time.
thanks guys

They want you to use TrickShift so that they can get their hands on your money. Just use any regular old Dexron ATF.

better yet...get a transgo shift kit and get rid of the b&m one. then get some regular dexron atf(as previously stated) and go to town

Dexron is chevy fluid. Type F is ford fluid, and a little thicker which yeilds higher pressures and a more firm shift. Trick Shift is actually a little thicker than Type F. The diffrences are SMALL at best. Pick 1 and stick with it, dont mix them. Let your wallet make the choice.
The TransGo kit is the better choice in shift kit

Go with the "modified" TransGo Performance Shift kit. You will be better off in the long run. If you are going to stay with the B&M, then "DO NOT" block the 2nd gear accumulator, otherwise you will have brutal 1-2 part throttle shifts. Call me if you have any questions.
