How does the third gen tourq arm mount to the rear of the t-56? Yes I have read through all the t56 swap FAQ/Tecnical/and threads and have found nor do I remember this being mentioned. I bought my trans and had it shipped to me so I wasn't able to pull it myself so does the fourth gens have a different mounting bracket or what? If so does a fourth gen with a t-5 have the same bracket. Please help, I leave next week to go to Ranger school at Ft. Benning (Army Ranger not forrest ranger).

 

Same as the T-5.

But since you gotta get a crossmember anyway, might as well change out the stupid factory setup for something that locates the torque arm directly to the xmember.

 

Already got a Spohn crossmember that the arm doesn't mount to ($46 new couldn't pass it up). So is the mount only on the 4th gen t-5's or also the 3rd gen t-5's. Thanks

 

3rd for sure; maybe the 4th too. I'm not sure what that one looks like. Only comes on 6-cyl 4th cars, so I wouldn't have the foggiest notion. I run away as fast as I can from 6-cyl cars.

 

Hey thanks for the help sofakingdom. Found a 80 something firebird in a local yard that had the driver front tire under the driver's feet area but the 6-cyl/5 spd was still there. Now does anybody got an idea on how to hang the duel cats using the Spohn ceoss member. I thought I'd done all the research but some things just arn't mentioned.
