Need help with INFO for build!

hi,
im new here and basicly have a couple of questions i really need help with. before i go on ill tell alittle about my car.

I drive an 89 beretta with a 5spd that i have had since 02. in 04 i did an engine swap and ditched the old 2.8mpfi for an 03 3400SFi out of an impala. It helped alot and bumped down my 1/4 times alot. 16.5@82 down to a 14.5@93 . well that wasn't enough either. i made some quick cheap mods CAI and just removed my exhaust and got down to a 14.3@95. well i went further in 05 with a turbo and now im pretty much sick of the wheel spin. right now my best is a 13.9@102 ( shifting at 4grand tops) and a best MPH with wheel spin 3/4 down the track 14.0@109. soooo now to my questions

within the last week or so i have thought about doing a RWD conversion. while still using my 3400 engine. i can keep my wiring harness and tunning program. i was thinking of the V6-f-body transmission with the 5spd. the thing is im sure the 3rd gens will work, but i don't know for sure. i know the bellhousings are the same , but flywheels and clutch should be different. eitherway does anyone know if the FWD engines and RWD 2.8s have the same bolt pattern at least for the flywheels? if so i can use the f-body ones which i hope are bigger. now the other thing is will the 4th gen trannies work as well? has anyone used the V6 4th gen trans with a 3rd gen V6? im sure not alot of people care to work with the V6s, but i was hoping to get some help here.

i know i can pretty much mock up any rear end to work as well with a drive shaft so thats not a problem. right now i need to know which trannies will work and how well they will hold up to at MOST 400WHP.. right now i would say im within 300WHP now with stock internals. so 400 should be somthing well within reason.

any info or links that would help would be great! i have pics of my car if anyone is interested..

thanks for all the help in advance,
mike

Re: Need help with INFO for build!

well i guess there is an adapter plate for the T56s and 60degree bell housing. now another problem i didn't think about is the starter being on the drivers side. since i guess the V6 trans are weak and not worth it.

are there any web pages that have a max power and or max TQ rating for O.E trannies?? since i have never owned a RWD this is very new to me..

anyone have any ideas that may be helpfull???????

Not third gen f-body related, but I leave it open for a while before I throw the lock on it.
