TH200c trans slipping?
I am having problems when driving when I take off it is fine but when going down the hwy or whatever when it shifts into 3rd from 2nd the RPM'S will be at like 3000 and when it shifts it drops down to 1000 500 RPMS and jerks around like it kicks in and out of gear and the RPM's just go crazy. Could this be the tranny going out or some kind of sensor, My friend thinks its the carburetor but I don't think it is cause I had it gone through.

Anyone? BTW it only does this maybe 85% of the time and the other 15% it does not do it like it runs fine almost like new, if it was the tranny slipping wouldn't it do it all the time?

Re: TH200c trans slipping?
My guess is the lock-up clutch in the torque converter is locking then unlocking repeatedly. AFAIK the lock-up is electric / solenoid controlled, so I would look for a broken or corroded wire or connector in the lock-up circuit.

PS
If you get completely tired of the trans and get replacement / swap something else in, PM me at this forum. I am looking for a 200C trans with the 2.8L engine bolt pattern.
