Your Opinion?

I am having a few problems with my transmission and would like someone elses opinion.

First, this problem has been going on for a long time. When in O/D and at a cruising speed (doesn't matter what speed) the car starts surging. The Tach stays stable though. It has gotten mre noticable since I finished the motor mods. Does this sound like the torque converter is slipping in and out of lock-up?

Second, this problem just started, When I am accelerating with the throttle 3/4 to wide open the car goes to shift up and the gear doesn't engage. If I am not hard on it then it shifts fine. I was reading a few posts about the TV cable possibly being the problem and an adjustment might fix it. There is no TV cable to the carb though. What looks like a TV cable actually goes the servo assembly for the cruise control (this is the only part of the cruise control in the car). Could the transmission just need to be serviced or does the servo assembly actually have something to bo with the transmission?

Any insight would be helpful, thanks.

Re: Your Opinion?

I found the T/V cable and adjusted it. It seems to be shifting properly now. I will have to see how things go on my way to work tomorrow.
