torque arm problems
alright so i bought an 85 camaro that some one had swapped in a turbo 350.. so it had one of those b and m kits on it, so now i found a 700 r4 and i have it in but no way to bold the arm to the housing... where can i get one of those original brackets? gm said that their discontinued and no junk yards have anything around me... i saw someone mention a remote mount torque arm? whats that and where can i get one?

Re: torque arm problems
Spohn and others make replacement torque arms that don't mount to the tailshaft housing of the transmission so you don't need to worry about the bracket.

The torque arm mounts to a replacement crossmember.
If you're on a budget and you just want the stock parts, you'll have to look for used.
