Bell housing 18* Rotation, T5 too?
I'm trying to remember this, but don't have one to reference.
The Bell housing mount flange is rotated 18* counterclockwise on a thirdgen fbody with a T5. If the transmission was mounted 'straight up' does the shifter mounting surface end up being flat or offset?
I can't recall if the transmission is twisted as well, or if it's just the bellhousing.

Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere

The shifter pad is parallel to the top cover of the trans, such that it's pointed over toward the driver. It is NOT parallel to the trans mount surface in other words, and therefore NOT level when in the car.

Yep. I put a T5 in a 2nd gen with an old school straight up bellhousing.
However, the third gen T5 shifters are cocked to compensate for the 18 degree slant. I used a hurst 3rd gen shifter, which I was able to disassemble and put back together in reverse, so the stick faced the driver instead of the passenger.

I shoulda asked you about that the other night on the phone. I need to have the shifter come up about 3" over to the driver side, so I'm gonna have to probably make an adapter on the shifter arm too.
When you flipped the shifter around how far over did the stick come up from the center of the hole? I had a '78 Z28, and if I remember correctly the hole was freaking Huge, and the shifter came up the dead center.
