86 rear disc
i read something about adjusting the rear disc brakes on the main page but i dont realy understand it...
i swapped a posi rear with disc brakes on my car recently and the brake pad doesnt seem to contact the rotor as much as it should..
IS this because my brakes are not adjusted?
i read that i need the parking brake to adjust them but one of my parking brake cables came loose and dragged on the floor till the ball on the tip of the cable ground off and not i dont have an e-brake..
IS the e-brake needed for the adjustment?

Re: 86 rear disc
Did you replace drum brakes before adding the disc rear end? If so you also should have grabbed the brake proportioning valve body found below the brake fliud holder on the brake booster pump. That might make a difference on the amount of fluid that is being pushed to the rear brakes.

The lever is only suppose to ratchet the piston outwards. If the piston moves outwards and then back inwards with the lever, then the adjuster is seized and you should replace the caliper.
