Axle/Gears: BW 9Bolt 3.70's
Quicky Dumb question

ok in a 92 RS with a 305, is the tranny a 700R4 or a 4L60?
thanks, the reason i ask is its the firt camaro i have baught that still had the endinge and tranny in it...haha

also, where can i find a CHEEP reman for it on the net or something, thanks

Its called both. GM changed the name from 700R4 to 4L60 in 1990. But its the same transmission. Do not confuse it with the 4L60E, which came out later. The E means its electronically controlled. Ours are controlled by the hydraulic pressure of the fluid.

There is no such thing as a cheap transmission rebuild or reman.

no i understand their isnt a cheep reman. but what i was getting at was "sumwhat affordable" rather than cheap, nothings cheap these days...haha

yea i had a brain fart with the 4L60 and 700R4 thing.
