Car: 1988 IROC
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 5 speed
Axle/Gears: 3.08 Posi 10 Bolt w/ aluminum drums
couple questions regarding options on my car...
car = '88 IROC 5.0l tpi, 5 speed
did irocs come standard with aluminum driveshafts, using the rpo decoder, my car came with one....
also, I do not have the G92, and I have the 3.07, posi, and aluminum drums, do I have the 9 bolt or 10 bolt rear??

RPO J42 is the aluminum drums, RPO JG1 is the aluminum driveshaft, as for your axle, its likely a 10 bolt but all you gotta do is count the bolts on the rear axle housing.You might be lucky and have a Dana 44 that someone added...

'88 seems to be a year GM put a lot of aluminum driveshafts in the cars as stock equipment. After that they get rare. But it was optional, not standard. I'm 99% sure you have a 10-bolt, and it has 3.08 gears.
