700r4 experts help!
Ok, not really 3rd gen related but I am still a Camaro owner so here goes:
My buddy's 1992 GMC Sierra 1500 LWB (700r4) needs a tranny. I found a rebuilt unit out of a 1987 S-10 Blazer 2WD. Will it work? What could be the differences in these trannys? (I haven't seen either in person)

X2. The 4.3 motor and a SBC are the same bolt pattern tho. But there are some internal differences in the V6 and V8 700R4s. Not such that it wouldnt work, just not as torque friendly
