Im just wondering if anyone has used the Gm part#24202117 Corvette 5000rpm shift govener in there 700r4?? I just put one in and it seems to shift a little higher than expected. From 1st to 2ond it will shift under normal driving light throttle at almost 3000rpm and wont shift into third any faster. With my 3.08 gears that makes at least 65kmh and I actually have to let of the throttle a bit to get it to shift. Anyone had this same thing happen. I was hoping that my shift points would stay roughly the same but only increase my WOT shift to 5000rpm. Any thoughts?? Thanks

 

I have exactly the same proplem. part throttle shifts are way too high and WOT shifts are too low. I have a new TCI Streetfighter trans. Hope somebody could tell what to do. Wery annoying to drive in town, 'cause it doesnt shift and then it shifts and my neck is broken

 

Yes I have tried that exact governor, and no it doesent shift WOT in my stock 1991 700r4, I tried up to 6000-6300rpm and did not shift.
I got a governor recalibration kit B&M #20248, when time allows I will play with the governor again, the stock 4400-4500 is alittle low right now.
