trans woes

went to track last night and had probs right away, wouldnt shift into 3rd or drive at wide open throttle unless i let off gas.adjusted cable seemed to fixit, went 2 rounds no prob ,but i was running a good 1 seconds off what it normaly runs? then while driving it home i got bout 30 miles from track and it was jumping back and forth from overdrive to 3rd ,few miles later motor was reving higher then normal in 3rd, then boom sound and no gears at all and a lot of noise, just had a new flexplate installed a couple weeks back, any ideas on this? and im kinda thinking a converter prob but im not sure just a guess that maybe my prob weeks ago wasnt a flexplate but poss a converter failing? what is symptoms of a converter failling, noise loss of speed? help me out guys.
thanks

Re: trans woes

Sounds 1st like your TV Cable was not PROPERLY adjusted after your Flexplate install. And you probably didnt adjust it correctly at the track either.
