IDK if it actually intends to remove the need for the TV cable, but if its proper adjustment you are concerned with, there is one correct way to do it. Here is a link that will inform you greatly about it. Top left is the part 2 and part 3 pages. http://www.tvmadeez.com/article/index.php

Re: transgo reprograming kit

Im not 100% familiar with that kit. But from my understanding is that is retains full auto but allows for a complete manual shifting when you select low with the shifter. Stock the tranny is designed to upshift from 1st to 2nd at a certain speed even if the shifter is in Low/1. But you can hold 2nd all day. The backshifting is also only allowed at a certain speed in stock form. But the kit will correct that and allow for backshifts to 2nd and to 1st at any road speed.....which can be dangerous if you arent smart. IMO that puts a lot of wear on the clutchpacks if repeatedly done. There are 2 kinds of Manual VBodies. One allows for engine brakeing and the other doesnt. The one that doesnt probably allows for less clutchpack wear. I had a friend with an AOD Ford who put a MVB without engine braking. The drivability was pretty pleasant. You had to push a button to activate reverse. But the AOD didnt last.
