what kind of trans do i have?

its a 91 firebird with a v6 automatic what kind of trans is it

Same Auto as all 3rd gen cars have....700R4

Not really, there's the 3 speed auto in the iron duke 4 cyls (T125 I think?), the 2004R auto in the 3.8L turbocharged GTA's....


But yes, it's the 700R4...ummm... but actually since I'm being ****, it's not... It the 4L60....

The 3-speed was a 200C I believe. Not a very good trans either. The one in the 1991 is a 700R4/4L60. But there are 2 different versions. The 2.8,3.1 motors had the 60* Bellhousing and the 4.3 and SBC had the 90* Bellhousing. Just something to look out for if you are finding a replacement.
