Axle/Gears: 3.42 single stripe
84 camaro w/2.8 v6
what gear ratio was offered with the 84 2.8 V6 and do y'all think it would work okay with a carbed 305?

Most of the time (If not all the time) the v6 8th VIN S has a 3.42 open diff. It's the same/just as good if not better then rears in 305 carbed cars which it much milder (numerically lower) usually 3.08's in 8th VIN H cars.

Have you swapped a swaybar onto the rear yet? Most early v6 cars didn't come with them and swing around like they're on ice.
