Alternitive rear transmission mount?

I have a 89 pontiac firebird that I tore the rubber bladder (or whatever you want to call it) on the rear transmission mount. Being that they are almost $200 does anyone know of an alternitive that would stand up to more power for less money. I tore this apart with the MASSIVE power of my v6 (yes im joking, but its a good school car) and im hoping to add more power in the distant future but I dont want to keep riping this apart. If there are no alternitives what cars have the same mount that maybe I could find in a salvage yard. It is a 5 speed.

thanks for any help

See if Energy Suspension has an application for your car. Good part, good price.

Sounds like you have the legendary "fluid-filled" mount.

What a POS.

Go to the junkyard and get a crossmember out of one of these cars that DOESN'T have that kind of mount; and then go get a normal mount. Never have to worry about that asinine thing again.

yeah I agree get that type crossmember

then buy a prothane poly tranny mount and your done.

the new mount is about 30 bucks and the crossmember could be as cheap as 10 bucks.
