Rear end swap

I wanted to know if the 99 Camaro SS rear will bolt up to a 92 Body. Im basically wanting to convert it to a newer rear end but i dont know if it will bolt up properly. It seems that the lateral arms are all the same and all. Does anybody know if it is possible???

From what i remember it will work, but i think that the e-brake won't work then? I am not quite sure but it should fit

Re: Rear end swap

I have the rear out of a '98 in my '91 and everything bolted up just fine with the exception of the e-brakes. The newer rear is about 3 inches wider total but shouldn't pose too much of a problem.

Welcome to TGO, phat. The board has a collective wisdom of hundreds of years. More often than not, a search will provide the info you require (your question is asked several times a week, it seems--and probably should be a sticky). Good luck on the swap.

Re: Rear end swap

You can get an answer faster by just doing a search, rather than asking again. And if he did a search, he would have found more detailed info. ie, what the part number is for the correct e-brake cable adapter, the exact width difference (2 1/4"?), and the fact that it's not really much of an upgrade anyway, since most parts are the same.
We're all here to help, and are willing to - but if you want a more detailed answer faster
