tranny linkage questions!!

Transmission: Rebuilt 700R-4
Axle/Gears: 3:42
tranny linkage questions!!

ok first of all this is the first time i have pulled a tranny out of a camaro. now my question is what is the cable on the passanger side of the tranny that goes to the carb and what does it do? and second how do i properly adjust the shifter linkage on the driver side of the transmission? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

The cable on the pass side is the throttle valve and does go to the carb.
http://www.tvmadeez.com/article/index.php this will tell you what it does and how to adjust it.

Loosen the nut on the stud on the shifter arm that the cable attaches to. Make sure the trans likkage in in park, make sure the shifter is in park then tighten the nut. and you should be done.
