Ford 9" rear with 1330 yoke.. What U joint needed?
I just got all my parts for the ford 9" swap, now I need pinion yoke U joint straps and a conversion U joint to go from the ford 1330 yoke to the stock 3R driveshaft.
Anyone have info on whats needed for the strap and U joint.
I done some research and found 2 bearing sizes listed for the 1330 yoke.. 1.063" and 1.125"...
I know the 3R bearing cap size is 1.125". I tried an old stock camaro U joint and the cap seems to fit ok in the yoke, but the joint is 3.680" in lenght (end of cap to end of cap)
That seems to be abouty 1/16" (or less) too long. The joint don't fit all the way down on one side. It hits the little tab on one of the sides of the yoke

1330 and 3R are very close to the same but are not. The conversion u-joint is
