pedal problems

I've seached but I'm not sure if I'm looking for the right terms. I 'm having some trouble with my 4th gen padal swap. With everything bolted in the master cylinder pushrod is at an angle. The clutch pushes in fine (I still need to bleed though) but its setting at least a 10-15* angle. I have a set of 3rd gen pedals as well so I checked them and the stud that the clutch pedal attaches to is facing to the passenger side. On the fourth gen pedals it's facing the drivers side. I'm using both 4th gen pedals and hydraulics but I also have both for a 3rd gen as well. Would I be better off using the 3rd gen stuff?
