Re: 5 speed auto?
the 700r4 has OD, probably as clost to a 5 speed auto as your going to find. Ive never heard of one. Why are you looking for a 5 speed auto?
Re: 5 speed auto?
i got a 4 speed in my truck...and once u hit OD... at 70+pmh my RPM's are up around 2-2.5 grand... and well i want a lower rev on that... but i recon i dont have a choice
now if i can just get the engine...and everythng else...and this is turning in to a headache

Re: 5 speed auto?
it has a lot to do with gearing too, the truck probably has low gears, 4:10, or so. What us your rear ratio? With my old 700r4 and 2:73's i was around 1200 at 65
Re: 5 speed auto?
true.... i know nothing about what im doing...but i wanna nice car..maybe rubn the track a few times....
i hear that my rear end is pretty good.... i got the v6 car and i hear the v6 is a better rear end ( ratio ) than the v8 ratio... and i herd that the 7004r can carry up to 500 hp.... but im just putting in a carbed 350 and a ram air intake on it...so i dont think ill be that close

Re: 5 speed auto?
true, the v6 has decent ratios.
as for the 700r4... in stock for its good for more like 300 horse, though you can buy/beef one up to a higher level. I had a stock 700r4 with a vette servo behind a mild 350 for a few years and it was fine
