Car: 1987 Camaro, 1986 Trans AM
Engine: V6 2.8 multi-port and V8 5.0 FI
Transmission: 5-Speed and Automatic
Axle/Gears: no idea
switching auto to 5speed?????
besides the clutch assembly and the actual 5speed transmission what else is needed to do a swap into a car that original has an automatic transmission?
selling and buying a new car with a 5spd isnt an option just curious what is entailed in doing a transmission swap.
would i also have to swap the ECM?
any suggestions would be great?
this is just out of curiosity and if not too much of a hassel i just might do it one day.
