hi and good morning from germany.. :-)

i´m replacing my bearing of my 4l60e transmission.
At first i found loosen screws in the valvebody and now i´m missing one checkball.
i found some good photos of 4l60e in the internet where i can see an additional checkball. also in my repairmanual there is a #5 checkball.
could it be that one is missing in a 96? or have the tranny guys missed one... i got a new shaft in it some days ago.

The ATSG manual for that tranny is about 20 bucks...

 

Not sure why you are so disappointed, GM never put 4L60E's in a 3rd gen. You may want to post your question on a 4th gen site.

There should be a checkball at the area circled in RED. Checkball locations have never changed in the 4L60E.
