high speed rear end vibration
I just had a 3.42 gear and a gm govloc posi put in the rear end. I was nice to it for the first 300 miles no noise or anything. The other day when i took it up to about 105 for the first time it started viberating something aweful and by 110 it was scary loud. It doesnt make noise or anything it jus starts doin that at 105. I dont plan on drivin 105 all the time but is it possible my backlash isnt quite what it should be or could it b because im cheap and got a govloc? any advice?

Re: high speed rear end vibration
first thing i would check would be balance . i mean tires first then drive shaft . if not , well you need to go further . LOL .

oh i didnt think bout that... i bet its the driveshaft. i know the wheels are balanced but since that drive shaft is spinnin so much faster now its probably whats doin it... plus ive heard the 3rd gen drive shafts are crap anyway.

Re: high speed rear end vibration
yea 89rs ive heard that b4. unfortunately they're about 350 bucks and im a broke college student that also has to now shell out the money for new fuel lines as mine have finally rusted through in the back as there was a puddle under it the other day, brake lines are about to go too it looked like when i got under there so for hwcoll95 i dunno how long it will be until i have any results for you but ive searched b4 and found guys that said a new driveshaft fixed their vibration problems so it wouldnt surprise me if thats what your problem is as long as your wheels are balanced and everythings tight back there. anybody wanna let me know what else is gonna nickle and dime me to death next?
