axle spline question

I know this question is asked all the time. I have an 85 Z-28 with a 10 bolt rear from an 88'Iroc. I want to know what spline axle are in the rear.I believe they are 26 spline but just want to make sure.Thanks

Yes it's only 26 spline. 28 spline wasn't available until the 1990 model year however there could be a few 89's late in the production year with 28 spline.

There's nothing stopping a previous owner from upgrade it to 28 spline so the only real way to know is to pull an axle and count the splines.
