Interchangability (4L60E)
I am about to do an LT1 swap. I am going saturday to get a 1995 corvette LT1. I am buying a harness, and computer from a guy here. The problem is the tranny.
I found one today from a 1996 4.3 equipped 4x4 Blazer. His son rolled the truck, and he parted it. It works fine, and comes with the converter, for $400. Hes even willing to bring it, but itll be tomorrow, and I need to know if I can use it, tonight.
Im having the computer tuned, so if its a tuning problem, I can get that taken care of. I need to know if the 4x4 4L60E will work in an LT1 swap, with a 1995 LT1.
Anybody?

Re: Interchangability (4L60E)
you will have to tear the tranny down to change the output shaft to a 2wd version as well as get a tail housing for it. plus you will have to get the vss for the year motor/ tuning that you are going to use. around '95 or '96(can't remember which) they went from a 2"vss to a 1"vss.
