Axle/Gears: 2.77 posi stock
shift kit?

umm i was thinking about having a shift kit installed in my 700r4.it has umm 75,000 or 175,000 miles on it dont really know.so i was wonder since i dont know much about transmission what would it hurt?

If it has a ton of miles on it, I wouldn't kit it without a rebuild first. The whole point of a shift kit is to improve shift quality, and transmission durability. With a high mileage trans, you are probably losing more in both departments, than a shift kit is going to make back up.

so have it rebuilt then put a shift kit in.
