i need some help in figuring out if im correct in my thinking here. this is for a tpi system. i want to run my 58mm holley throttle body, but after doing some thinking it seems as though the tv cable would be out of adjustment with the bigger throttle body because when comparing the stock throttle body to the bigger one at whatever position the blades are open, the bigger one is going to flow more air, which means the car is going to pull harder, but at the same time the tv cable is only getting pulled on as if it were a stock throttle body with less air. i measured the distance between the center of the blade shaft to the tv cable mount, and both throttle bodies are the same (1-1/8"), so the larger tb is pulling more air but not getting more line pressure on the trans, and to me this is the same as an improperly adjust tv cable. WOT would seem to be fine but part throttle? am i over thinking this, or is this going to be a problem, i dont want to ruin my brand new transmission. oh and the picture below is stock tb on the left (89-92) and holley 58mm on the right (85-88). i also have the stock 85-88 throttle body not shown in pic and the distance is the same (1-1/8")

 

anyone have an idea?

also, so i dont have to make a new post... does anyone know what he difference is between the tv cables thru out the years, i have a 91 car but the tb i use is 88 and earlier design, i already swapped the throttle cable for the earlier style, but dont know which tv cable to get. the gm part number for my vehicle is 10163879.

edit: i talked to probuilt automatics.... he informed me that he sets up his transmissions to get alot more line pressure quicker anyway, so it wouldn't matter. and as for the tv cable, he said to get the one that matches my tb. i guess the only difference is the length of the cable.
