700r w/stall whats wrong

I just got my trans in last night and took it out for a test drive. OK I left good but would not go into O/D. Got about 1/4 mile away and tried to back up and it was like I had the E BRAKE on, but I didnt. kinda felt like it was hung in forward and reverse. I was told the stall could be causing this, I bought it used but I seen the truck it was in and there were no problems like this. Could it be the TV cable causing this? The new cable that I put on it was about 1 1/2 inch shorter than the one that came off, and it is adjusted all the way out just to hook onto the throttle body. But this is the part that all the parts houses said that I needed??????????????????????????

sounds like you def have the wrong tv cable on there dont run it any more till you get the right one...go to advanced auto and tell them you want a tv/ kick down cable for your car tell them its tpi and has a 700 r4 tranny... the cable doesnt just make the tranny kick down it also regulates pressures in the tranny so you can def do damage running that (detent cable)
