Transgo kit Cost
Transgo kit Cost
couln't find this on search. How much should I expect to pay for a transgo kit put in my TH700r4? Parts and labor with the corvette servo. Does the servo come with the kit or do I need to request it?
Thanks.
Oscar.
Thanks.

Re: Transgo kit Cost
So I got three different quotes, one is $250 parts and labor, the second is $295 parts and labor and the third $350 labor only!
. I'm thinking middle of the road...anyone who has had someone else do this have any thoughts?
Thanks.

had someone else do this

What's that??

Are you saying that other people actually work on hobbyists' cars besides the owner?

Where are you located I'll do it for 100 and a case of beer if you supply parts, I did my own and it's not that hard.
Re: Transgo kit Cost
I think not all people do their own work. Some like me have to pay either becuase of a lack of time or lack of knowledge. When I used to have time, before having kids, I had all the time I needed. In fact I did 98% of the mods below myself. I race bicycles as well so what little time I do have goes into training. But I am very careful in selecting who touches my car.

Thanks for the offer. 100 and a case of beer sounds good to me if you are really good at this. I live in Sunland, 91040. Where are you located? So have you done just your car and how long did it take? As I understand from talking to Dana at Probuilt, I need his Transgo Heavy Duty kit with the corvette servo. Can you do all the adjustments correctly? And lastly what days are you availiable? I usually take days off of work to do handle things of this nature.
By the way I have a garage, 80 gallon v-twin upright compressor, jacks, and a role away full of tools, air wrenches/ratchets and with tools to fix tools in case.

before having kids
It's a hobby to most of us, not an obsession about possession, like for some people (a substantial portion of the Vette crowd comes immediately to mind). There are exceptions of course but for the majority of us, this is something we do because we enjoy producing something that we can look on with pride as the fruit of our own labors. Somehow, writing some shop a big check just doesn't make me feel all warm inside the same way. Let alone fuzzy.
But that's just me. Maybe I'm just weird (well, scratch that "maybe"...).

So did I; and in the decades since, as well. To this day, even though one is in college and the other about to graduate HS. Just finished college myself in fact.

Well...hopefully when my kids get to that age I will have more time...not.
Right now my two girls are 1 yr and 3 1/2. So I don't need to remind you how much work and time they take...and patience...
I debated about just doing a filter and pan gasket myself and calling it a day since I have a small leak, but I guess, I might as well improve that annoying lazy shift, but to do that I would need to pay someone to do it since it would take me to much time to do and figure out. So in the end, I guess what I'm really buying is time...which in the end to me, is more valuable to me than money, as money comes and go's...
