Shift kit...

I know this has prollly been asked a zillion times before but the first question is for those of you who have a shift kit.. does it annoy you having the firmer shifts all the time when your just cruising? I bought the TransGo Performance shift kit. Also is my car having 122,000 too many miles for a shift kit? Whats the amount of difference you get in feeling from stock to a shift kit? Thanks guys

Re: Shift kit...

The ProBuilt modified TransGo shift kit in my trans gives nice, firm-but-not -harsh part throttle shifts. It just feels like the trans is working "right"; quick & clean shifts that are not at all harsh. This is how I thought the trans should have shifted stock. I actually have the S/S rebuild, so the rest of the stuff could be influencing the shifts. Call Dana at ProBuilt, and never look back. -Bill

The "modified" TransGo shift kit will give nice part throttle shifts (not harsh) and still give quick & firm WOT shifts. This is my specialty.

Re: Shift kit...

is 122,000 too many miles for a shift kit or is the tranny still strong? My tranny works great too.

Re: Shift kit...

The "modified" Shift kit with the Corvette servo should do no harm to the transmission as long as it is in good shape.
