HELP!!

i got a 91 350 block with 99 vortec heads ported out... got the motor put together and started it up for about two minutes then i cut it off ok..... and then my push rods got bent up and some of them snaped...any ideas what i can do?

Sure...

Find what's interfering.

If I was the betting kind, I'd almost bet that it's the retainers hitting the top of the valve guides. Those heads usually have only somewhere around .465" of clearance there. Any more actual valve lift than that, and parts break.

ok then i really dont know whhat the problem is because i have a lunati 00016 cam that only has a .458 llift on any more ideas

.465" - .458" = .007" = about the thickness of a sheet of copy paper

You're MIGHTY CLOSE to disaster, even if your heads are "average". If your valves and seats have been ground, you could EASILY be on the wrong side of luck.

You don't need "other ideas" right now. You need to take a look at the top of your valve guides and the bottom of your retainers.
