Axle/Gears: 323,410
rebuildable posi?

is the stock posi rebuildable,were do you find parts.mine looks like it has been well abused.

Because the Auburn design licks *****, and uses non-replaceable, cone style clutches. The only rebuildable posi is the Eaton, clutch style unit, which doesn't come in our cars stock, and costs a pretty penny to buy aftermarket.

Yeah, that's definitely the most obvious indication! You can also jack up the rear to where just one wheel is off the ground and see how hard it is to get it to slip and start turning. If it takes a good amount of effort to get it to slip, your clutches are still holding pretty good, if it slips quite easily, your posi is about done. There's actually specs, and you can use a torque wrench to measure how many ft. lbs. it takes to get it to slip.
