Factory Stall

What is the stall rating of a factory torque converter from a 1985 Camaro Iroc-Z 305 TPI with a 700-R4?

IIRC it is either 1600 or 1800 RPM...

Re: Factory Stall

What would be the advantages and disadvantages of going to a higher stall converter? Is it really worth it? By putting in one with a higher stall such as 2200 or so, how much of an improvement could i see in the 1/4 mile?
